Energy Efficiency

Energy efficiency is the amount of efforts to reduce the amount of energy needed to provide products and services. The use of energy saving products can be an advantage in household economy, environment ans also system's installation and maintainance procedures.

Household Economy

In European Households energy efficiency improved only by about 1.1% per year between 1996 and 2001. Since space heating/cooling and large appliances can receive the greatest energy efficiency improvement, the use of efficient (Class A) products can help both the household economy and the environment, with a reduction in energy expenses and CO₂ emissions of up to 70%.

Environment

Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, the burning fossil fuels contributed to the incease of catbon dioxide in the atmosphere from 280ppm to 380ppm. It has been calculated that for one kWh of electric poweris produced 0.68kg CO₂ and since Greenhouse effecf, energy dependency-security and global wrming are phenomena directly related to CO₂ emmisions, the reduction of energy consuption can have a strong impact in environmental improvement.
